The Business Leader in Quality award Scheme consists of the following two awards:

 

The Business Leader in Quality (BLIQ) Award Scheme

 

BLIQ recognition is given to applicants in recognition of their achievements in business performance through the application of quality practices. In addition, a “Business Leader in Quality of the Year?Award will be awarded to the business leader who has achieved excellent performance in that year.

 

1. Recognition as a “Business Leader in Quality?

      

This is awarded to any individual from Top Management, who has fulfilled the assessment criteria and been recommended by the Independent Examination Board.

The Certificate is valid for one year, and is renewable upon demonstration of a continuing commitment to quality.

 

Details regarding the requirements, procedure and application fee for renewal of the Certificate are available separately.

 

 

2. The “Business Leader in Quality of the Year?Award

 

Based on the results of the initial assessments for BLIQ recognition, top candidates will be further assessed by the Independent Examination Board for consideration as the CQI HK Branch “Business Leader in Quality of the Year?/span>. This prestigious award will be awarded to the individual who is considered to be the best in their industry sector and/or specific geographical region.

 

 

Goals of the Business Leader in Quality Award Scheme

 

i.                    To provide recognition to those members of Top Management (typically CEOs or Senior Directors) who are actively applying good leadership and quality management skills to improve their business?performance.

ii.                  To encourage Top Management, and their direct subordinates, to undertake a programme of continuous development focusing on, learning and improving their leadership and quality management skills.

iii.                To raise the professional profile of quality practitioners, and create an environment where companies can learn and apply best practices.
